Reevees Nexus 0.1.0

Quick Start & FAQ

The complete illustrated PDF manual is included with the paid package. This public page provides only the basic workflow and common questions.

Quick Start

First analysis

Everything starts at one menu entry: Tools > Reevees Nexus > Start Here – Kit Intake Wizard.

  1. Import your modular asset pack (with its required packages and render pipeline) and Reevees Nexus; wait until Unity has compiled.
  2. Open Start Here – Kit Intake Wizard.
  3. Drag the pack's root folder into “Source Folder” and click Analyze Selected Kit Folder. Your original prefabs are never modified.
  4. Read the Kit Readiness box: READY (no blocking findings), REVIEW REQUIRED (some assets need your decision or warnings should be checked) or BLOCKED (errors must be fixed first). It also shows the measured module size and the most important findings with “Why” and “What to do”.
  5. Follow “Step x of 6” and its Next-step button: Analyze the kit · Fix errors · Save + rebuild · Confirm or correct assets · Check warnings · Use the profile.
  6. Use the profile: Create Preview Assembly, Pair Compatibility Check or Export Report. Build the level yourself in Unity.

Try it first with Tools > Reevees Nexus > Diagnostics > Ensure Included Sample Kit (URP project).

Common questions

Does Nexus modify source prefabs or source scenes during analysis?

Analysis does not intentionally modify imported source prefabs or source scenes. Supported Pair Apply rechecks the current pair and changes only scene instance B with Undo. Preview creates separate inspection objects; they remain until you remove them or use Undo.

What does GRID_UNRESOLVED mean?

Nexus could not infer a reliable modular grid and intentionally asks for review instead of inventing a value.

Does Nexus always know the asset author's intended rules?

No. It infers and explains likely structure, but uncertain cases remain reviewable.

Does Nexus upload my project to an AI or cloud analysis service?

No. Nexus analysis and its generated profiles/reports run locally. License, account and connection requirements are documented separately with the final release package.

Which Unity setup is supported?

Nexus is a Unity Editor tool, tested with Unity 6000.3.22f1. Version 0.1.0 is validated with URP; HDRP and the Built-in pipeline are not validated. The final release package lists the supported Unity versions.

Does Preview Assembly create a finished building?

No. It places representative pieces and semantic snap markers in an inspection row. Nexus does not assemble a complete building, validate gameplay or certify every inferred fit.

Are reports updated automatically after edits?

No. Exports are snapshots. Save/rebuild after corrections or Undo and export again. Report runs use unique filenames; formula-like CSV contents are emitted as text.

A button says the profile has to be saved first.

Choose “Save + Rebuild now” in the message. Your corrections are kept and applied; nothing is lost.

Analysis is blocked after I moved the Nexus folder.

Version 0.1.0 must stay in Assets/ReeveesNexus. The Kit Intake Wizard shows this case; move the folder back. Profiles are not affected.

How do I contact support?

Run Diagnostics > Run Product Health Check, then Diagnostics > Create Privacy-Safe Support Bundle, check the files and email support@reevees.com with the Support ID from the error dialog (for example NX-J02). Requests are typically answered within 2–3 business days.
